The Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA) is a not-for-profit organization and a global platform that brings together biotechnology companies, startups, researchers, investors, and policymakers to strengthen the biotech innovation ecosystem. Through industry programs, networking initiatives, and startup engagement activities, FABA works to accelerate collaboration and innovation in the life sciences sector.

Role Overview

FABA is looking for a proactive Program Associate who is passionate about working at the intersection of biotechnology, innovation, and startups. In this role, you will help coordinate ecosystem programs, engage with startups and industry stakeholders, and support the execution of events and initiatives that bring together the biotech community. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role that requires strong communication skills, organizational ability, and a genuine willingness to take initiative. You will be embedded in a dynamic environment at the University of Hyderabad campus, interacting with ecosystem builders, researchers, and investors on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination

• Support the planning and execution of FABA programs and initiatives
• Maintain stakeholder databases, documentation, and program updates
• Track program milestones and prepare progress reports for leadership

Stakeholder Engagement

• Interact with biotech startups, industry experts, academic institutions, and investors
• Support partnership and collaboration activities
• Build and nurture relationships across FABA’s growing network of ecosystem partners

Events & Community Building

• Assist in organizing conferences, networking events, and startup pitch sessions including
• Coordinate speakers, participants, and end-to-end event logistics
• Help grow and energize FABA’s community through consistent engagement

Communication & Outreach

• Support FABA’s digital outreach and community engagement through LinkedIn and other channels
• Draft announcements, newsletters, reports, and program communications
• Contribute ideas to strengthen FABA’s voice in the biotech ecosystem

 

Eligibility

• MBA or Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business, or a related field
• Strong interest in biotechnology innovation, startups, and ecosystem development
• Prior internship or project experience in biotech, life sciences, or startup environments is a plus — but not required

 

Skills We’re Looking For

• Excellent written and spoken English communication
• Strong coordination and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
• Comfort with digital tools including Google Workspace, LinkedIn, and project management platforms
• Experience in content writing, event coordination, or digital communication is an advantage
