Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled candidate with hands-on experience in molecular cloning and recombinant protein expression. The ideal candidate will contribute to ongoing research projects involving gene cloning, genome editing, and protein production across multiple expression systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform molecular cloning, including plasmid design, gene insertion, and construct validation
- Execute genome editing experiments using CRISPR-based techniques
- Carry out recombinant protein expression in various host systems such as E. coli, Pichia pastoris, and Bacillus
- Optimize expression conditions and troubleshoot cloning and expression challenges
- Analyse experimental data and maintain accurate laboratory records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development goals
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience
OR - Fresh Ph.D. in a relevant discipline
Required Skills & Experience:
- Practical experience in general cloning techniques and CRISPR-assisted genome editing
- Hands-on experience with protein expression systems (E. coli, Pichia pastoris, Bacillus)
- Familiarity with standard molecular biology techniques (PCR, gel electrophoresis, DNA/RNA handling)
- Ability to design and troubleshoot experiments independently
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in protein purification and characterization techniques
- Knowledge of vector design and bioinformatics tools
- Experience in enzyme kinetics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience Level:
- Entry to early-career (0–2 years post M.Sc. or fresh Ph.D.)
